To all in the CavanKerry family,

We at the Press are still reeling from the Supreme Court’s disastrous, regressive, and alarming decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on June 24th. Not only does this decision rob women of a basic human right to bodily autonomy, it sets a dangerous precedent for the Court to take future action against civil liberties and social equity. Further, the criminalization of abortion will have catastrophic health effects on women seeking safe medical procedures involving any facet of their reproductive health, as they will be forced to turn to unsanctioned and unregulated providers for care rather than the safety of professional and personally determined care.

We join in the anguish and grief of women and families across the country in the wake of this ruling. We encourage you to review and share the following resources and opportunities to support women’s health and rights:

In addition, several of our authors are providing grief-processing sessions in the next few weeks, and you can find more information on two of them here:

In this dark time, we at CavanKerry will continue to advocate and fight for equal human rights and a brighter future.

With love,
Joan, Gabe, Dimitri, Dana, Tamara
